Feel the same way. Went out with a cold last night, said I'd go easy, ended up doing Sambucas and spent a small fortune of £200. Not had a hangover like this since I was 19.

lol

I did 18 months off the ale when my 3rd kid was born March ‘17. Wasn’t even by choice was just that busy with 3 kids and work didn’t have time to drink.

Went out Boxing Day to see my mates, drank an absolute shed load and was up at 7am doing washing the next day. Sometimes it agrees with you, other times it doesn’t Laughing out loud

Got my missus to buy me a hangover cure for xmas, it works like a charm, called boomerang drink, it works amazingly if you neck it before you stop drinking, only problem is its £5 a bottle so not affordable long term, based on science and I tested it after some fucking heavy xmas drinking, clear as a bell the next day just tired etc. The most effective cure is the totally unafordable IV push adminstired by a nurse or doctor or you if your confident, a whole bag of saline water plus vitamins and other stuff pushed in a needle in your arm, Ben Greenfield (american health writer guinea pig who injects his penis with stem cells) tried it for Esuire magazine, said he was so ok after a heavy night so much he did a heavy workout, unaffordable to all on here as £80-£100 a pop so in Juddge Fredd or whatever his name is terrioty, interesting to know and apparently junor doctors steal it all the time and adminster it to one other, available at summer festivals more known for their heavy ravey style drug use.

This is true, and replacing it with a sugary soft drink doesn't really work. When I (mostly) stopped drinking this year I got into alcohol free beer and can recommend Erdinger and Franziskaner. I get the same pleasure from cracking one of these open in the evening. Not many pubs do decent alcohol free beer tho.

I thought you were chatting shit when I read this, but haven't had anything other than alcohol free beer since NYE and can genuinely say that if the beer is ICE cold it can adequately quench the mid-week beer-thirst… I haven't been to a pub yet, but woke up on the 1st of jan after a heavy December feeling terrible so thought I'd give dry jan a go. as sad as it is, probably the longest I haven't had a drink for in over a decade Shocked

I'm liking the non-alcoholic budweiser and the brewdog nanny state beers. bavaria and becks blue do not taste good at all
