Thanks guys. Sounds good - anyone know the price for hemming?
This service sounds good, can never find beater work trousers with adjusters.
"We can replace belt loops with more traditional side adjusters by using excess fabric from the hem of the trouser."

Anyone know of a good jeweller/watch specialist to get a new strap fitted on a watch around Holborn/Soho/Covent Garden area?

Any jeweller anywhere will do that, probably for free if you ask nicely.

Tried the fashion workroom, £12 hemming and 2 day turnaround (quoted a week on the phone though). Would ring ahead to check they are open if going after work.

They seem pretty old school. Handwritten receipt and payment cash or cheque only…

Went to Maurice in Cov Garden recently for a knee repair for speed. Turnaround was good but quality was non-deece. Next repair being sent to the Dr.

Nowhere else to ask this (I think?), does flannel stretch at all? Just got a shirt and it's just a touch snug on the shoulders and cuffs. There's no chance of finding the next size up, so I can't go down that route and so I was wondering if there would be any 'give' in the fabric?

Anyone recommend anywhere in London to get a pair of selvage jeans hemmed and tapered from the knee down please? Need them done ASAP so can't send off to Denim Doc.

son of a stag do chain stitching, might be worth giving them a bell

Thanks, was thinking about them but pretty sure they don't do tapering etc.? Any other suggestions

Give Son of Stag a ring about tapering, I'm sure they'll do it. I've had multiple jeans hemmed and chain stitched there over the years and the service has always been top notch.

Speak to them, it's a very professional outfit. Would be very surprised if they didn't. Friday might be tricky though.
