^This. Don't ask for anything Class A in coffee shops, you'll just get turfed out or treated like a cunt. Or both. Don't buy off the cokeeeezhasheeeeezh men on the street corners. Even if they let you sample some, there'll be the old swaperoo job in the end, and you'll end up with a g of lidocaine / some fish oxygen tablets. Best solution is to ask locals in clubs to point you to a dealer inside the club. You're way less likely to get burned. Just never ever buy anything of someone on the street, it's ALWAYS a scam.
- 9 street area for good cafe's and shops. Amongst others a red wing store, cos, acne, velour, carhartt WIP, denham and more.
- Oude spiegelstraat for antiques and a store that sells rick owens if that's your thing.
- PC hoofstraat for high end shopping. There is a shop called four by azzurro that sells visvim, wtaps, neighborhood and stuff like thom browne and alexander wang.
- If you've got time to kill go to the cornelis schuytstraat ( as it's a bit out of the center ) for ennu and 1, great shops with high end stuff.
- Haarlemmerstraat area is sort of like the 9 streets but more upcoming.
- Red light area is fun if it's your first time, zeedijk is there too which has a lot of cool spots + Patta.
- Weed is best at the greenhouse. It's very touristy but for a reason, their weed is amongst the best.
La place is a good shout, def recommended if you don't know where to eat. If you're closeby check the top floor at the bijenkorf on the Dam. Same idea as the la place but better and I don't think it's more expensive.

was in the Dam a couple weekends back, loved it there. The architecture, people and atmosphere were all great, went to a club night called Kill All Hipsters which was good as well, dutch girls are hot. Stayed in a hostel called the Flying Pig with a smoking room hate weed but ended up being given some of that and some mdma within 15 minutes of sitting in the reception. classy place
