It is probably the most sensible option to check in to a hotel ( although that may defeat the object of getting there a day before due to cost) The Ibis hotel at Schiphol is basic and economical if you wanted to have a good night's sleep but not much else.

Open till 4.Doorbitch isn't too keen on brits though. Also, San Fransisco night bar is neither of the two things you mentioned. It's a waterhouse for the terminally mundane. Avoid.

Anyway, that leaves you fuck all to do for 5 hours other than to wander around in the rain. And it has been pissing down for the past few days.

Spends 2 grand a week on obscure far eastern suede jackets .
Goes on holiday and walks the streets for 18 hours from 8pm land till 2pm check in to save 80 quid.

Somebody please do me a decent favour and shoot me in the face,

Laughing out loud If I have to check-in somewhere so be it.

It was over £80 more so just thought worst case check in somewhere and extra night out there but if it's a matter of a couple of hours knocking about then fuck it, I would do that.

Cheap but decent room for 80 barr not the cost of the flight saving by being a complete MISER and going ALONE a day early.
The LADS are bound to want to spend coin out there as well,so WHY dont you just NISH them off completely.
I CAN picture the guise in their HIGH street GARMS having the TIME of their lives and YOU just standing THERE in your decent 5 grand outfit that NOBODY is any the wiser about, complaining ABOUT the P of everything and saying NO and NOT going anywhere and ordering a thousand pound coat in the ROOM (or park bench IF it has wifi) so its ON your doorstep READY to show the intranet the day YOU get home.

Make memories,not wardrobes.

Thanks Honnette – I will take your advice on board or would if it applied to me in any way.

I’m going over there to meet my cousin for a smoke and few beers for his 30th. I’ll only know him and his brother-in-law so have no interest in heading over there en masse with his whole crew like we’re going Napa in our matching t-shirts Laughing out loud

I would much rather head over on my own. I could afford to go over there and stay in a 5-star gaff if I wanted to but I’m perfectly happy wasting a few hours zoned out on some couch. Even if I did walk the streets, it’s nothing I didn’t spend a youth doing when raves kicked out.

This just makes no sense. What are you going to tell the lads?

'ere Essex Boy, wot you get up to larst night then?

Had a joint, walked the streets in the rain, read fuk.co.uk until my roaming ran out then bedded down in a hostel. Saved about £12 an' all.
