I wouldn't bet a cent on things like this until they are reality. Insane battery life and battery charging theories, including prototypes, have been popping up a few times every year since .. 2000? It hasn't happened as of yet.

No. Apps should have a notification with media controls, so that it will appear on the lock screen. The old way is depreciated. Maybe you can place a media utilities widget on the lock screen, I'm not sure if that works.

Lock screen no longer has media player controls available which is really annoying. Is there a way to change this?

Has anyone used http://www.unlocked-mobiles.com/ before? Is it legit? The site looks a bit dodge.

I would do a factory reset sadly, unless there's an update which fixes these issues.
EDIT:In order to stop this issue according to the makers of the phone, you need to do the following:
Make sure that your contacts and internal storage is saved onto your computer or a back up system >Go to Settings > Applications> Manage Applications> All (which is the button on top that lets you see all applications), > Scroll down to Contacts Storage, > click on Clear Data.
Maybe works?
