It really depends on what your going to do with the phone. 1GB is very limiting if your are running a bunch of apps in the background and want switch back and forth between them.

Just has a look and it says the G has 2GB of ram.

Other phones to consider-

Aye, but a lot of apps can't be moved to the SD card.

Its not been a huge problem for me, but if you are the kind of person who likes to have a lot, it might be problematic

The 2gb RAM version isn't available in the UK yet. Thanks for the help. I've purchased one from the Amazon link that I posted, along with a 32gb memory card.

There are plenty of places - just need to search for the best price. Also you need to check that the version you buy will work in the UK ( newer Xiaomi's have global mobile bands but a few versions are only for the US)

oppomart.com

aliaexpress

http://www.gearbest.com/

geekbuying.com

Prices will be inflated for newly released phones just because they are popular but supply isn't that limited. Also if you can hold off the new flagship from Xiaomi the Mi5 will be released soon. http://www.gizchina.com/

Does anyone use the Android calendar? I've got it set up with my hotmail account, but it won't sync to the hotmail accounts on other devices. My Mac calendar doesn't show anything I've added on the Android app. When I log into the hotmail calendar in a browser the events etc aren't there either…

Any suggestions? Cheers

Probably like quoted mpg figures though, unachievable in reality. even 3 hours with decent usage would be good for a 10 min charge though.

Also that wileyfox above is huge, bigger than an iPhone 6 plus Laughing out loud

Wiley fox - 141.15mm tall x 71mm wide x 9.37mm deep
iPhone 6 Plus - 158.1 mm tall x 77.8 mm wide x 7.1 mm deep

Thicker, sure, but not bigger.

Anyway a bunch of phones have been announced at IFA. This Huwaei phone has the force touch tech that will be in the next iPhone, looks cool.

I need a new phone, will either get an iphone 6s or more likely a z5 compact. Losing imessage is going to be a gutter though.

^this

Text messages are unlimited in almost every contract now anyway.
Unless you send a shitload of MMS messages then I wouldn't worry. Even still, that's what Whatsapp is for.

I don't like whatsapp as much though, always accidentally end up in imessage group conversations. Also get imessage on my ipad and macbook seamlessly - it's pretty convenient.

Isn't MMS messages unlimited in most contracts in the UK? It's been standard here in DK that they are free for years now.
