Having this really weird sound issue with my Galaxy 7 at the moment where the sound fluctuates between high for a few minutes then low and repeat. It's driving me nuts. Anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions to resolve? Thanks

"Durable", "rugged", "dazzling red SOS button", "physical compass" = Nandroid.

Specs are good on paper, however, I've heard a few iffy things about Elephone in general, particularly with updates…

OnePlus 6t/7, is looking spicy though with its onscreen fingerprint reader.

Laughing out loud

For the price, I'm tempted. Always been an iPhone man myself but am fancying a change now.

The battery life of my 7 is shocking and the charging port has just decided to start playing up (have to 'position' the cable correctly for it to charge). Proper pain.

Acceptable if for example you are a builder or mountaineer or other extreme sports instructor, but taking that to the office youll look a right twat.

So unless you want to look like a wannabee bear grills take a look at Huawei if you are thinking of jumping ship.

I got a motorola force - two day battery life and an 'unbreakable' screen - can't fuck with it.

Also looks like a normal phone rather than one they might give you in the TA

Not really, spec wise almost identical - in relative terms obviously 'Mate' version on paper is abit faster and slightly better battery, but not really much of a biggie.

Check here for comparison: https://www.gadgetsnow.com/compare-mobile-phones/Huawei-Mate-20-Pro-vs-Huawei-Mate-20

I'd save the £8p/m it's good enough.

Depends how you're streaming there are two apps

1) web video cast - you can stream direct from URL
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.instantbits.cast.webvideo

2) Server cast - can be selected as an option for video playback and then stream to TV
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.instantbits.cast.dcast

When it is searching for devices, for both apps you will need to select further search/device options e.g DLNA or WebOs or whatever the device is in order to stream to it.

3) simply cast to TV (you won't be able to use your phone during playback though) - draw down notification task bar click the little pencil and you'll see cast

What's the best android phone out at the moment? I've currently got a Samsung S8 and almost pulled the trigger on an S10+ but thought I better check in here first Eye-wink The deal with the upgrade program seems decent about £50 upfront and £20 a month for the s10 or 25 for the + with mine as a trade in, no brainer or go with something else?
The Huawei p30pro seems decent and that Mi9 looks alright but no proper UK retailers.
One thing putting me off the Samsung is the glass back, but they all seem to be at it, anything else that actually looks good out they're? Do Xiaomi still do the philippe stark phone?

It's this now
https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2019/feb/27/xiaomi-mi-mix-3-review-novel-slider-finally-hits-the-uk

https://www.mi.com/uk/mix3/

The Mi9 is meant to be coming in the uk with a week or so.

https://www.mi.com/uk/mi9/

I'm using a Xiaomi F1 Pocophone at the moment as a beater till the mi9 is released and in all honesty i might not even upgrade this one's that good(and i don't care if i drop it etc). I get two days battery out of it, camera is better than my old Mi6 and it's still got a headphone jack. pretty sure you can pick them up for about £200 now

https://www.mi.com/uk/pocophone-f1/

the actual shop in westfield have a huge sale on at the moment
