I was born in Glasgow and lived there for 14 years. I now live in Birmingham and have for the past 5 years and like to have a laugh with my mates by supporting the team they are playing against but its just fulfilling a stereotype as a laugh really. Secretly support England as it makes for a good night if they win and am not a huge football fan anyway. A fair enough, just knew he had reputation but didn't know why or where it came from.
Traitor! Don't come back to Glasgow. "We'll set aboot ye"

Shut up you dolt. Murray will win a grand slam. Don't you see what's happening? He is taking over.
pipe down you r-tard. are you his mum or something?
my comments were a bit hasty but i still dont think he can perform for 7 matches in a row consistently enough to be a considered a tennis great.

hating England at football doesnt make you anti-English at all.
Im Scottish but have lived in London for 5 years now - loads of English friends, English girlfriend, etc. Consider myself British as well as Scottish and have no anti-England sentiment. I'll support English teams in most sports, but could never, ever bring myself to want them to win at football. I feel a bit petty because of it, but Ill always cheer on their opponents and laugh when they lose. Its an instinctive thing, and I think most people who were raised in Scotland and were exposed to the repulsive attitude that the English media has towards international football/nationalism will feel the same. Also the England national team seems to attract the absolute worst of the country's football fans, which makes them even more dislikable.
Murray is cool, he seems a bit of a dick but I like sportsmen to be characters rather than dull like Henman.

I have to admit - 3 years ago I f'ing hated him, but on reflection - he was 18 years old and Scottish, of course he was going to act like an adolescent c*nt. But in the last 12 months he has grown up a hell of a lot, consistantly beats top 10 players (he has beaten Federer 5 times in the last 12 months), has an amazing all round game, and to be fair is probably the best player in the world right now. For some reason he still pisses me off though

Bear in mind that hes only achieved the exact same as that so called clown rusedski now, US open final and world ranking 4, so i think to refer to him as a clown is somewhat short sighted. Henmans highest ranking was also 4, never reached a grand slam final, so we could probably say murray has exceeded him already.
I like him to. Better than that boring choker Hemman and that clown Rusedksi
Murray identifies himself as "Scottish, but also British".[3][4] Prior to Wimbledon 2006, Murray caused some public debate[67] when he was quoted as saying he would "support anyone but England" at the 2006 World Cup. He received large amounts of hate mail on his website as a result.[68] It was also reported that Murray had worn a Paraguay shirt on the day of England's World Cup match with the South American team.[69]
