Considering that opponent is the world number 1 and dominated tennis for the last 2 years, he's done well to push him enough today to take this match to a second day and a possible 5 set thriller.

I am aware of his record, I was lucky enough to be at the Wimbledon final when he won it. But if you look a little closer Djokovic was his ONLY major opponent in his two slam wins.

On his way to the U.S. Open win, he beat Feliciano Lopez, Cilic, and Berdych, whereas Djokovic played the likes of Ferrer, del Potro, and Wawrinka.

Similarly at Wimbledon, Murray played Janowitz, Verdasco, Youzhny, and Robredo. Two Spaniards in there who hardly play well on grass.. Compare that with Novak's opponents on his way to the final: del Potro, Berdych, Haas, Chardy, etc.. All solid grass court players, including another fellow Grand Slam winner in del Potro..

Murray can't compete consistently against the very, very best at Grand Slam level… The final set against Novak in the semi-final proved that.

Novak can consistently beat the likes of Nadal, Federer and Murray but Andy can't.

Anyone comment on the sizing of the H&M Berdych collection? Standard h&m size up one if you're not a pubescent teen?

Murray only beat Nadal on his favourite surface couple weeks back to win a final. Murray's head to head versus Federer is 11 wins to Feds 12. Hardly an inconsistent and choking record against the most successful Player tennis has ever seen.

News flash! World Number 4 and World number 1 beat players ranked below them to reach final.

LOL at Tommy Haas. Maybe solid grass court player and decent opponent were it 2003. And is that Chardy the same bloke Murray beat in straight sets at the Australian Open the same year he won Wimbledon?

Did you even watch the 5th set on Saturday? Djokovic brought his A-game, and Murray hit hardly any unforced errors. Novak hasn't been ranked number 1 in the world for over 2 years now without reason.

fudge.dredd wrote: Murray will push no-one.

He's also a true choker against the very best.

The consistenly ranked 4th best player in the world pushing no-one ranked higher than him since 2008. What a choker Sticking out tongue

I'm not saying Murray isn't a great player, far from it. All I'm saying is that he is probably the 'best of the rest'… But since Wawrinka has two Slams now too, even that is debatable.

He doesn't have a great second serve, which the best players can inevitably exploit, and is prone to losing it when things aren't going his way.

4th in an era of Nadal, Djok and Fed is pretty damn good if you ask me. Were Murray in his prime in the 90s I'm sure he would have won a few more grand slams. Wawrinka now 30, knows more than anyone how good you have to have been over a number of years, to be consistent enough at both ATP and Grand Slam level, to form a gap between 4th and the rest of the chasing pack.

'I'm not as good as they are, I mean the big four, but I'm quite good enough to win two grand slam tournaments.

'I can beat them in major tournaments - in a semi-final, in a final - but once again, the big four will always be the big four.

'I don't want to be in comparison with them. I want to make progress and strides. I want to beat them. That's all. It is as simple as that.'

People talk to me about Wimbledon tickets. If I rock up at ~7ish am on a weekday next week will I get a ground pass in ok time?

What are the best ways of getting in.

I did this last year. The wait was about 4 hours but it isn't too bad as there is a cringey twee Britishness and camaraderie about it all. bring food, drink (you can take a bottle of wine per person inside), umbrella and a picnic blanket.

When in you can get return tickets for the main courts cheap or easily visit a lower order court if there is play.

Why does Nadal touch his face and hair before every point on serve? I'd rather watch them pan the camera at uncle tony a few million more times than have to see that.

He looks weak and fragile and his hair is really thinning on top. serious illness.

Went today and on court 2.. Zero queues. Saw James Ward win. Bumped into Goran. Then watched Berdych annihilate someone. Caught the end of Nadal on henman hill. Next Wednesday, centre court for some quarter finals. Love Wimbledon Cool
