Why is Djokovic a bellend? He's just a passionate player that gives 100%.

This shows his class -

Murray was class, but not sure he's reached Novak's level yet. Australian & US Open should show how close the gap is as both are too inconsistent over clay.

Massive success in the doubles also Ubercool

Ubercool ^

Murray is undoubtably one of the greats but he's just unfortunate that he's competing in an era where Djok, Nadal and Federer have been. Either way it's a great sport to watch these days and always has me on the edge of my seat when watching any of the above 4 and indeed the top 20 seeds playing each other.

He knows that while Murray is sucking up positive energy from the crowd and his box, the one person he still craves to impress the most is his coach. The 'McEnroe effect' actually helps keep Murray focused and not drop down a gear when the ruthless edge is needed more than ever to conclude a close set.

He is a huge part of murrays Grand Slam success because he has failed almost as many times in finals. There is no better coach Murray could work with.

this is a great observation, and is why lenal not going mad is good for murray, its such an interesting dynamic. spoke to a mate whos a wimbledon member, the terror plan was full on, there were hundreds of armed police waiting in hiding ready to go.

this sort of thing is forced, its not him. like his new celebration. His strength is that he doesnt give a fuck what people think He is the most mentally strong player ever, better than borg. His people have said you need to make yourself popular 9bit like murray, who in fairness isn't interested in public appeal either) djok is a ruthless winner, and also on the juice apparently. he also has a full blood transfusion after every game.

Not surprised… never tires or breaks sweat.

Murray in the form he was this past 2 weeks was a match with anyone.

yeah could be, he may have been exaggerating. There seems something about novak that seems too good to be true, like he is super human.

Not sure on the blood transfusion. I recollect a commentator saying he had his own hyperbaric chamber.

He's transformed since going Gluten free - there's your 'super human' reason.

Heard this too.

They're all on the juice, Djok is mentally the best. Murray has improved a lot, 2nd serve is no longer like a girls, which helps. Fair play to him for winning 3, done well.

Great match Ubercool

Considering the tournament, Del Potro deserved the gold much more than Murray! Epic matches against Djokovic and Nadal and after a year stop due to surgery/injury

I also wanted him to win, he hit some venomous shots. Particularly enjoyed those two overhead smashes.

Murray hasnt lost a final to anyone but djok for over 4 years now. To think this thread began cos he was seen by the masses as just another Tim Henman. Enjoy him. We will never see another Brit as good as him in our lifetimes ever again. That goes for the whippersnappers of fuk too. Sticking out tongue

The 4 year dominance of all other opponents other than Djokovic in Finals finally came to an end yesterday (and so did a 22 match unbeaten run) at the hands of Cilic.

Updated:
