Wimbledon next week so bumping.
Can't believe Murray's maiden Wimbledon victory was 4 years ago now! It really does only feel like yesterday.
Quick recap of the last 6 months:
Djok been very shit, fired his coaches, seems to be losing the plot a bit. Rumours of him having affairs and marital problems taking their toll on him methinks.
Murray been shit by his standards. Did have a good French Open. But on the whole shit.
Federer and Nadal back to their best (well best they can be at their age now).
Didn't see much of the French Open but caught the last two sets of the Final. Nadal was the bull we have come to expect of him on his favourite surface. It is almost boring watching him there now, as you know what you are going to get. Relentless aggressiveness and a work rate that completely overpowers and outwits anyone unlucky enough to face him.
Federer beating him in OZ at the start of the year feels like such a huge victory now and almost necessary in order to keep Nadal at arms-length from the title of GOAT, which will only ever really be considered, should his haul of Grand Slam titles be matched or overtaken.
So as we look forward to Wimbledon and the top 4 dynamic changing before our very eyes this year, it is almost impossible to predict what will happen next. The seeding could serve up some very tasty semi-final battles of years gone by or maybe even a classic final. Given the past decade and a half of winners, you'd almost certainly expect one of the top 4 seeds to win it. I'm going to say Fed.
