Went the other night for their Día de los Muertos menu, was really good. Still some work to be done inside, a coat of paint needed and untidy wiring etc but definitely a much needed decent bar.
Yet to try a cocktail which is the whole idea behind it I suppose.

Its an underground venue 'inspired by colonial port taverns of the industrial age.'

Was in there last night for drinks, cocktails were amazing and its completely different inside.

Also went for a meal at the new Yatai that opened last week, was also excellent.

NEWS FLASH

*****Khyber Pass is being refurbished*****

I went to Tippling house yesterday, the food is great. I especially liked the pulled pork, blackened salmon and the Sea Bass.

Both the cocktails I had were nice as well.

Quite reasonably priced as well. 5 bar snacks, 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts and 4 cocktail for £95 if I remember right.

It's really decent. I'd say do not eat much during the day to reap the rewards on offer. Haha. Seriously though expect to be hardly able to move after leaving. Enjoy.

Going up to see Crookers in Inverness on Friday. Scotland Tonga Saturday. Should be a nice weekend provided the rugby isn't as arctic cold as last year.

Cosmo was great. I had trays and trays of sushi. I would advise everyone to book a table as the queue was ridic but because we had a table booked we got taken right to the front.

I know that post is ancient. But, I recognise the guy with the glasses and the hat. I'm sure he works in Attic too.

Hogmanay cancelled across Scotland Sad

The Scotsman wrote: Only four major Hogmanay parties are being held at the Bells this year in Scotland.

Edinburgh, Inverness, Stonehaven and Stirling are the only locations laying on large-scale parties for revellers over the midnight hour.

It is a far cry from a decade ago, when most towns and cities staged outdoor celebrations.

Experts said rising health and safety costs, shrinking council budgets and the “hassle factor” involved in staging big outdoor events had triggered the decline.

Glasgow, Aberdeen, Oban, Dundee, Fort William and Loch Ness are among the locations that have shunned high-profile celebrations this year.

Looks like it's just fireworks.
