Big Beach Ball was a cracking day out yesterday, great to have something like this going on in the city.

Fucking suffering for it today though.

Kind of wish I had gone. Had a friend's BBQ to go to, such nice weather recently.

Anyone game for Green Velvet in Snafu on the 17th?

Anyone had a good meal lately? Needing some new places to try out. Is Jamie's Amy good? Have heard mixed reviews

Haven't been but i've nothing but bad things about Jamies. Style over substance apparently.

Meal wise- i can't see past Yatai just now, its my favourite place in town.

Agree about Big Beach Ball. Brilliant. Roll on next year.

I am doing Green Velvet on Friday. And Pleasurekraft the following weekend.

Anyone out tonight? What the fuck was happening on Belmont Street. Civil liberties? Metal detectors and sniffer dogs (didn't actually see any dogs) What's going on. I spoke to a WPC at about 0030 hrs and they hadn't found anything, a massive police intimidation tactic for what appears to be no reason.

I walked straight past them.

The police are not justified to search you unless they have REASONABLE GROUNDS to suspect you are in possession of stolen goods, drugs, offensive weapons etc. etc.

I realise this is probably just a trial and probably in response to something terrible that has happened, I'm also by no means a hippie or anything but I personally think this is not the right way to go about anything.

PM Gawk I suppose.

Just back from this new craft beer place called 6 degrees north on littlejohn street, pretty much opposite brewdog. Something like 50 beers on tap an another 350 bottled to choose from. Well worth a look in over the weekend.

That 6 degrees place was alright when I went last week. Waitress charged me 3 times on my card by accident so I had a few on tap the next time I went in.

What is up with the SRU not hosting an Autumn international in Pittodrie this year? Must be due to poor attendance. It feels like Aberdeen is drifting further downhill.

Was great fun, about 8 of us went and had a great time, you can bring as much booze as you want, the owner is sound and there was only one other guy working who was just standing at the till drinking beers and chatting with us.

From what I remember the food was fine, tapas, nothing fancy, lots of chorizo. Fine when you're boozing.

Wouldn't go there for a date or anything but it's great fun for a bunch of guys basically predrinking. Only think is that is shuts at 10 because of licensing regs so don't arrive too late.

I keep meaning to go there too.

Thistle News along the road has the best beer selection in town so that could be a great shout for the BYOB.
