Snafu closing down.
No decent clubs left anymore, just a wasteland of student infested cheap booze shitholes.

Maybe Origin will get back on form? It's a shame Snafu is going though, award winner in a far North frontier town.
Pretty sure Tiger will get redeveloped before long.
Also do you know if Priory is permanently closed? If so it could be developed into a great club as it's a fantastic space, just obviously a shithole in its present form.

things are going a bit mental up here at the moment, lots of commercial and residential development, houses changing hands fast and for way over asking prices and every second cunt has an Audi or range rover.

^ yep, property round my way going for mental prices. my mate sold his house last week in a day for way over asking price, cash buyer too. Mine has gone up a decent amount too since I moved in.

Loads of companies constantly poaching staff ( prevalent in o&g) is also driving wages up, folk are just naming their price now.

The place to be by the sounds of it. Bet you could make a million in a year shotting chisel out the back of a range rover.

Also home to some of the worst poverty you'll ever see too, there's a serious divide in this city.

Perhaps more a case of won't work rather than can't work.
Decent at the moment up here. Better in the summer months for obvious reasons.

Thought about investing up there as soon as trump wanted to do that stupid golf course in the freezing rain every day. Snooze you lose etc.

The Trump thing was a relatively small investment in the city (£100m cut from £280m) compared to things like StatOil who just announced a £4.2Bn project.

Aberdeen was big on that estate agents programme on bbc2 last night.

Me too.
I'm from Aberdeen, but currently in Edinburgh doing an engineering degree. Obviously there are heaps of engineering jobs up North, but there is only one other person on my course that is looking to get employed up there. There seems to be this impression that Aberdeen is a horrible and expensive place to live and people simply don't want to swap from the bright lights of Edinburgh, Glasgow or down South. Despite the substantial salary difference.
It is expensive as hell though. A 30 minute taxi journey in Perth the other week cost us 20 quid. Same one in Aberdeen would be easily double at the time it was.
Mortgages are insane aswell, it's a nightmare looking for a first time place.

Anyone hitting up Big Beach Ball this weekend? Hoping for some decent weather for it.
