It's always a laugh going through Seaton Park when it's like this, so many people fell on their arses last year.

You at university?

I don't remember it snowing in Aberdeen at this time of year. It's more of a January- April occurance.

just looked again, looks like they would have to re-route a large road and railway to do any of them, no?

Its a load of shit.

Fill in the green heart of the city with concrete and raise is to street level, with a big car park underneath. Roll Eyes

Ian Wood is an egotistical cock of the highest order.

The other plans to have an arts centre built into the natural slopes of the gardens, combined with a new rstaurant in the old victorian toilets, and covering over the Denburn dual carridgeway to make a smaller square are far more appealing and inline with the natural surroundings.

I (heart) UTG FTW!

I think your both missing the point. The plan is to expand the green space by levelling it over the road and rail which will then be tunnelled roads and rail.
The only people I ever see using the gardens at the moment are Emo's at the weekend drinking Cider, cos of the severe slope it has it sits completely unused.

I think they're wanting to stick it in a tunnel underneath.

As far as I see it the place is a bit ignored at the moment and people don't use the space enough. I don't like most of the designs. An amphitheatre would be cool as fuck though. At the end of the day I'm not going to use the space so it doesn't matter to me but a European plaza style space would appeal to me.

Anyone heard about those plans to put a ferris wheel down the bottom of Union Street at Castlegate. I don't thing there's enough to look at to make it worthwhile.

As long as something is done it will be good, generally the gardens is mostly used by junkies etc
