Must be a fair few day rate contractors shiting themselves at the moment

Not good news this time of year.

So pleased for the no vote

Matt what the fuck are you on about. If it had been a YES vote it would of (unrealistically) came to fruition in 2016 when it's very plausible that the OIL price will have shot back up to decent levels. It's got fuck all to do with the referendum. If America and Saudi actually gave a shit about other economies then they would be halting back production and allowing the OIL price to go back up. It's not the first time OIL has been used as a political tool. The worst thing about it all is that its us normal folks who suffer most by losing jobs not the multimillionaires who are more than capable of dealing with a price crash. Also what happened to the "UK being able to use it's broad shoulders to bear and oil price drop"?

Been away for a while but seriously impressed at the music scene, particularly at Tunnels- some really good bookings recently. They should open up that Foundation place next door for additional space.

Think so. It was a great club space while it lasted.

The Tunnels really is delivering these days though.

Any folk used W.B. Jamieson out in Potterton for homewares at all? Is their showroom worth a visit?

In Aberdeen this Saturday anywhere good you would recommend? Good bars, pubs etc? Will likely end up down Belmont Street, anywhere else worth checking?

Need some places for food too. Going with a couple of friends after the football.

There's not much in Belmont street anymore worth checking other than Tippling House, Bos'n and Rye and Soda. All good for food too.

Other places I rate are Brewdog, Six Degrees North, CASC and The Moorings.

Food wise Yatai is the best place in town, theres also Adelphi Kitchen, Angus & Ale, Boozy Cow, Cafe 52 and Yorikobi.

+1 on Casc and Yatai.

No local but food at Rustico has always been good.

Agree with PH's recommendations above although those bars are quite blokey IMO. If the weathers decent Rye and Soda/Bos'n have a pop up bar in the Academy courtyard. Pity it wasn't next weekend as there a couple of good nights on club wise.

edit - not sure Angus & Ale have a booze license yet

Five Guys hype was real for opening day today. I popped in even when it was quiet before heading to the Airport and it took the fuckers near enough 30 minutes to make my order. You expect some teething problems but that was taking the piss, almost missed my flight. Would of fucked it off if it was cheap but 15 quid for a burger, fries and a milkshake coupled with deep pockets and short arms is a no no. Was still class though and dem chips are unreal. CSB etc

Went to Josephine's on Holborn street the other day, would recommend it and I think it's bring your own booze. Not bothered about 5 guys but imagine it's going to be busy for the first few months. Anyone tried chaopraya?

Heard the thai place is class from a few mates. Far too many burger places opening up here, another one called filthy gorgeous opens/opened up also.

Was supposed to try the Mexican place at the Adams lounge the other night but looking in it didn't look too great, still looked more like a pub, so glad I went to Josephine's, might try chaopraya next although it's a bit expensive and always busy

I was in Josephines for the first time the other day too, really liked the food. The setup is abit weird with the young lasses who can't take orders but who can drink behind the till and play with their phones Puzzled They want to get you out ASAP too which is annoying but kinda understandable as they don't gain anything from people sitting there tearing into beers.
Fresh Mex in the Adam Lounge is great. Cheap, super quick and loads of options. Same goes for that bar as they've got all the club channels on a dodgy stream.
Going to Chaopraya tomorrow.
Is the new burger place the old Boozy Cow? Incidentally I was on the new BC Saturday. Amazing I haven't doubled in size recently Laughing out loud
