Just moved to Edinburgh and the only person I know here is my girlfriend.

Does anyone else live here/know the city?

Know any good places to go/do?

I live here, PM with any questions.

What you moved here for, work or study? Shopping wise there's not much to see apart from goodstead, focus, xile and size. Going out all depends on what sort of music you like but hawke and hunter is the most popular club right now. Where you based and I can give you a few recommendations for drinks and food round your area. Give us a shout if you want to unmeet in town ever.

thanks -

I've moved up here for work, I'm working for a PR agency on Queen St. They gave me a week to find somewhere to live, managed to get a flat on Angle Park Terrace, its not amazing, but its alright for 6 months. My girlfriend's a student at the uni so I've been up here visiting a bit.

Might have to take you up on that unmeet.

Where is everyone else staying?

Not much around your flat by way of drinking then, unless you like football boozers in which case you're in the right spot for all the hearts pubs. On the way back from queen street though there's places like 99 hanover, the west rooms, sygn and loads of other nice places to drink. The Chanter is decent aswell, young girls and cheap drink in an ok enviroment aswell.

Never been but heard a few people say the Jamhouse on queenstreet is ok and brambles is nice aswell.

I've been on the royal mile for a few years now so the perfect place for brewdog Cool

nice, I saw a decent flat on the royal mile but they wanted £750 for august.

Think I picked the wrong time of year to look at flats.

Triangle of Doom! We looked around that area but didn't like the fact that you seem hemmed in by a combination of the Western Approach Road, canal and railway.

I'm on the opposite side of the city from you, off the bottom of Broughton Street.

Yeah think I am Andy Laughing out loud The guy who runs state of mind is really sound and loves what he does, shame it's hard to get bigger brands due to minimum order size. Think the shop would do much better in Glasgow than it does on St marys street.

Absolutely mental the last few days, it's just depressing that it's the middle of summer haha.
