I'd say its helped alot but there are some people who do not REALLY need it.

I use it for viewing PDFs in Lectures at University
To watch videos or read during a train journey.

It's just a continent way of doing things - some people have no need for it.

Yeah i Kinda realised after I posted it, on a whole the B-berry playbook seems such a more viable option though. I guess it's more business orientated than home orientated.

HMDI
HD Camera
USB slot
etc etc

its got hdmi, i have stacks of iphone apps i can use as i can ditch my iphone as work have given me a blackberry, which frankly is a piece of wank. plus re usb, ill sync it all up via my laptop or wireless so not an issue. The only neg i can think of is flash, but i think there is a way round this ?

Whats the deal with the jailbreak, its not yet available ?

Jailbreak isn't out yet for 4.3/4.3.1 but is really soon.

The thing that kills the Ipad is simply having to use Itunes to manage the Ipad which is such a clunky and frankly horrible experience.

i always rated itunes but now that mines got nearly 15k tracks on shit is desperately slow and annoying to use, i stand corrected.

^Itunes is awful, the fact you can only sync to one computer is such a massive negative.

Yeah itunes is whack, i really hate it. Worst part of having an iphone.

I used copytransmedia for a while which was great, except whenever i get something on itunes, and sync it, It deletes everthing added by copytransmedia

I only ever used iTunes for my iPhone 4 on the day I got it, just to set it up/activate it and then a few weeks later to update and jailbreak it. I've never ever needed to use iTunes again as there's better ways of doing things. Same goes for my iPad as well actually.

I'm guessing the main thing you guys sync is music, if that's the case it I would suggest payin' for Spotify premium. You get access to their tracks library obviously, but you can also sync your own music too over WiFi. Think there might even be a few free alternatives, but will probably be a bit shitty/lack features.

If it's movies you're syncing it's probably worth getting oPlayer (oPlayer HD for iPad). You can use it to play .avi's, so no need to convert movies and you can transfer movies to the player over WiFi.

If that's not it, what is it you're using iTunes for exactly? I'll let you know (Or try to find out) if there's an alternative. (Only if you're using a jailbroken device though)
