Man, I need an iPad 2 for my mum, but £310 is a bit much, she's a luddite, this might push her over the edge.

If anyones looking to throw their old one away let me know

Could someone give us a rundown of good apps to get? Been looking at lists online but not much is there for stuff like watching films and shows online.

Meant 16/32, whoops. Mainly use it at home, as my laptop is getting knackered and I need to use that for work. Movies / Apps then I guess?

If you're at home, you can just cloud/stream everything and keep the iPad pretty bare in terms of space. Keep all the movies/music on your comp and you can use either iTunes or an app from the App Store to stream them to the iPad. Then the rest you can just use for apps.

Using Downcast for managing podcasts. Much better than using iTunes.

edit - it wasn't £1.49 when I purchesed it though.

The easiest way would be through iTunes. So if your music isn't already on there, do that.

1. Both connected to same WiFi
2. Leave iTunes open on your iMac
3. Open 'Music' app on iPad
4. At the bottom of the app press 'More' button
5. Press 'Shared' and your iTunes music should show up under something like, the name of your iMac + 'library' (i.e. joe6886's Library)
