I thought Ipad prices were just about justifiable (at a stretch) in the hope that the the 3G plans were going to be sensibly priced - I may at some time buy an entry model for home (I was really looking forward to getting an Ipad) but they can go and fuck themselves with charges like these..not a chance. I'd rather stump up the extra £300 for a macbook pro 13 and buy a dongle or wait for the 3G rates to come down.

the prices arent bad at all. bear in mind the US prices you see on apple's website arent the actual prices you pay, sales tax of 5-10% is added at the time of purchase, depending on which state you are in.
i bought the 32GB wifi in the US (washington state) and it was about £440 after tax
