I must say I wish i'd kept my job at ASOS, I saw someone in that Vibskov vest yesterday and thought it was AA for some reason - is there a code about?

asked why they put the price of the blue oxford up and this is what i got in response. Not good enough imo

Hello Matthew,

Thanks for your email.

I'm afraid I am unable to advise why this price differs as the pricing is set by our buying team; however, I do know that prices are set due to availability, popularity and a number of other factors.

I apologise I am unable to be more specific on this occasion; however, if there is anything else I can help with in the meantime, please let me know.

Kind Regards,

Rachel G

just read it properly think its fucking stupid that they put the price up depending how popular a product is and how many they have left! Supply and demand I guess, but very unfair and dont really see it happening in physical stores..

exactly, imagine if they went round department stores upping the price of the most popular stuff, you'd soon fuck them off.

Why is it unfair? Pricing isn't an exact science. Obviously shops have a standard mark-up but at the moment everyone is squashing their margins to stay in business. If something is flying off the shelves at a certain price then they have priced it incorrectly. You are thankful of it when the sales come around and the excess supply gets shifted at cost price to them.

Supermarkets, airlines etc do it already. Amazon even got sued because based on the cookies on someones computer they changed prices because they knew which customers were most sensitive to slight variations. There is a really good book called 'Super Crunchers' which basically explains that stats are taking over the world. Companies realise when you are being lazy and when you shop around.

It's a good idea for GAP to have an online outlet. Hate having to spend half an hour driving there and finding nothing I want

he following are details of our UK Same Day Delivery service:

If you order by 2pm, Monday to Friday, you will receive your goods the same day - delivered up to 9pm.

You can order up to 12pm Saturday and Sunday for delivery up to 9pm.

We do not deliver on a Bank Holiday so please be aware of any impending ones when you order!

A tracking link will be sent to you once your order reaches the carrier we are using for your delivery, for you to be able to follow it all the way to your front door.

The cost of UK Same Day delivery is £16.95.

Our carrier will deliver your parcel before 9pm. A signature may be required on receipt. If you are not around to accept your parcel, the carrier may leave it with a neighbour, or in a safe place (i.e. hidden from sight and protected from the rain) if they think it is safe to do so. A calling card will be posted through your door to let you know this has been done.

We will only attempt to deliver your parcel once. If you are not around to take delivery, the goods will be sent back to the Warehouse and you will receive a refund minus the delivery fee.

Same Day Delivery is only available within the M25.

Jawdropping!
