Today MOT, Car Tax, Service. Its like when you get bad news in monopoly.

Your headlight lights aint working thats another £££
Your back tires are fucked that's another £££
Your rear brake light is only half working its a double filament you'll need a new one, that's another £££
You need new wipers another £££

rape. Rape.

I only drive a fiesta. I would hate to own a gas guzzling beastmobile.
GOVERNMENTAL RAPE TAX.

Bumping this thread because there's not many people posting £250+ items in last purchase.

To economise:

I now buy 20 packs of Gillette power razor blades.
I compared my car insurance and saved £200
Changed my black bank card for the basic one
Worn the same shoes to work for 6 months.
Skip lunch, skip getting a costa/Starbucks
Bought an iPhone but use it on the lowest tarriff
Fill my car with petrol in the mornings when it's half empty
Paid off credit cards.

Not really thought about it as an austerity measure but I rarely shave anymore.

I use clippers on my head twice a week and just trim my beard similarly so it's just tidy stubble.

Werd on the shoes though - worn the same 2 pairs for work since the middle of last year (no Jake the Peg). I don't think I've ever gone more than 12 months without a new work pair.

one for your waistline and your pocket, i've stopped buying snacks as they seem cheap but they absolutely rack up if you look at it over the week.

Can you actually do this? I know its obviously unethical and wrong but can you get away with doing this to someone or is there a way of tracking a package even though its not recorded, potential consequences?

What? The reason i ask is because ive sent someone a package (Visvim Shirt) non recorded (my stupid mistake) and 12 days later theyre saying theyve not recived it and im starting to wonder if they genuinely havnt got it or they just saying they havnt. In what way does me asking that question make me seem young?

Was thinking of bills that could be cut down last week so started going through them. Threatened to leave sky last week and saved £600 a year on my bill by staying. Changed my house insurance and saved £300 a year. Going to see about my gas and electric as I've been told I'm £400 in credit.
