Saw a dude with one of them summit packs in the tube the other week, looked cool.

Altadena ones are really nice too but pricey imo (as is the summit), compared to other rucksacks. Except if you use the use-price ratio in which case it's okay but I don't know I could bring myself to do it

Could anyone recommend a large bag I can take on short trips abroad but I can take on as cabin luggage to avoid RyanAir rape charge of 35 notes. Just looking for something a little different.
Maybe like the Easpak x Christopher Shannon on the left. Cheers Smiling

Troll, I have a nice large Belstaff travel bag, but it is really fucking huge. Its part leather, part fabric and it does fold into a smaller bag for the budge airline requirements. Is good for when you have too much stuff for a weekend bag, but would rather not case it.

First post, hello everyone.

Need help rationalising £650 for a bag. It's a large, 'holdall' bag so wouldn't be getting used everyday. This is the bag in question:

I've never spent that much on an item of clothing before, but this caught my eye and I'm liking the history of the fabric. I also don't have any bags of that size for travel/weekends away.

What do ya reckon, pull the trigger, or not worth it/save money and get a few summer items instead?

It is silly money for a bag not made entirely out of leather, but it's the contrast of the khaki/leather trim/green zip which makes me like it in the first place.

So definitely no then, even if it were to last years?

Had a look at that too, of course I would not be able to afford that in any way shape or form, but I did ponder as to whether or not, if I did have the funds, I would. And I decided I wouldn't.

I don't get sold on the whole re-claimed fabric thing anymore.
For £650 a pop they should be inventing fabrics that do cool things. I don't know what exactly.
