Need a new bag for work. Currently got a Mulberry Heathcliffe (the one with the double zip and laptop compartment, not the slimmer, single zip) and this is now 10+ years old and starting to look it's age.

Would get a direct replacement, but they're now £995, and would prefer to not spend more than £650-£700.

Needs to be able to hold a laptop, and various papers/slim files, on occasion.

Any suggestions?

I just got a Mismo canvas and leather one for £300 which I am loving at the moment and is a bit different to all the standard all leather ones out there. Have a look at Linjer online, saw one in person and was very impressed, great quality and great finishing.

Cheers gents.
@ginner - like the look at the Linjer bags, wasn't aware of the brand previously
@Gizmo - should have said in original post, I had a look in Cheshire Oaks not too long ago, and they didn't have anything in, but have been keeping an eye out.

Anyone here got the Epperson Mountaineering climb pack? I've only used it a few times, but having to thread the carabiner through the closure loop each time I need to get into it was infuriating. Is there some technique to it that I'm missing?

Alright lads, looking for a new backpack to take when i next decide to go travelling, decided to start travelling ultra-light so looking for a fairly standard size bag. looking for an acr style technical hardwearing bag. Willing to drop a fair bit on the right one

Always admired the Vis Ballistic bags but have been advised they arent the best quality? Any suggestions or advice would be highly appreciated

I need a backpack because my messenger bag is fucking up my back. Does anybody have recommendations on brands that I should check out ? Are COTE & CIEL bags worth the price ?

I think cote et ciel bags are cool looking but not very functional. If you are looking for something minimal this brand is underrated imo. http://c6life.com/collections/all/bags/

Have one of these myself, and was wondering the same. Eventually realised alot of people are tying a knot to the carabineer like this… which is still quite fiddly, but slightly faster

Am also selling this Supreme Backpack (18th) for around £150 if anyones interested? Is made in USA, and far better than any recent version

I like the look of a couple of C6 bags but I think the brand is dead, No social media posts on multiple accounts for 6 months. Would hate to buy into a deceased label.

Why does that matter? You're hardly gonna need a warranty
