Whilst I don't think you can really be accused of abusing your right to free returns (a bit like when BT Genie sent me a text to inform me that I'd sent too many text messages, on my UNLIMITED plan), I honestly can't believe how much you've sent back; I've only ever returned three items in over twelve years of ordering clothes online.

Big up the BT Genie!!
I got that text too. Was a sad day. Being reduced to 1000 texts a month was a killer.

Does anybody have any idea on the percentage / number of returns allowed?

YSL.com is controlled by Yoox, and I really don't want to get banned as I love SLP. I've made a lot of returns for various reasons (two because they sent the wrong item, some items had minor faults so I just sent them back, four orders included several items and I kept some and returned others, and many just didn't fit that well to be worth keeping for the money). My ratio if I return my two latest orders which were gifts for people that didn't fit, will be 17 / 24, which is about 70%, which I know is very high.

On the plus side, I have kept around £5000 worth of stuff since May when this account was started. I know this isn't a massive amount compared to the amount many customers spend, but it is still significant. I've also spent around £10,000 in the stores over the last two years (not sure if the online store and the stores are connected though). I also ordered stuff before May but not under this email, and I can't recall how much of that I returned.

Wonder if there are any stats on this? I've prob returned at leAst half of my Mr porter orders for one reason or another but have kept plenty of stuff.

Returned my last yoox order as the item was clearly faulty but would have kept otherwise.

Returns costs are largely the same regardless of item value. So for higher margin brands/retailers, a high return rate is probably fine. Mr Porter and YSL are probably happy to keep you as long as you keep a few things.

Not sure about the premium end of the market but my company supplies Asos (online only business model) and their return rate for 2014 was on average 60% approx

Not about banning, but they have reduced a few things I was watching today. Delivery is also free at the moment.
