Huh? Jet lag from a three hour flight? You can only get jet lag from long haul. Puzzled

Didnt like that venue that much. Maybe cause it was kind of empty, if youve ever been to ocean beach club it sort of reminds me of that but with good music.

In fact. If you're near Raval then

Domino - fantastic cocktails
Calle de Las Flores 16 | Metro Paral·el L2 L3 salida Ronda Sant Pau, 08001 Barcelona, Spain

33|45 - Bit 'kooky', but not too much so. The drinks are good and there's a cool atmosphere
Carrer de Joaquín Costa, 4, 08001 Barcelona
El Raval

Not sure if it's closed now or what but Blondie just off La Rambla is great but wasn't open when we tried to go last month, Marsella in El Raval is a must as long as you can hack absinthe served traditionally, Ultramarinos by Para-lel is great but only if you like Hendricks gin, Sugar in El Gotico has ludicrous happy hour offers before 11 or so.

Genuinely one of the worst places I've ever eaten.

Price wise it wasn't too bad.

Had to queue up on some dodgy stairs which was fine, but they have two areas to sit (outside and in) food would just be left on the stairs while the person waiting the outside could fetch it, while it would sit there for like 5 minutes as they were busy. This is fine again but the food looked like shit.

We were then sat on a table with 4 Aussies, who were actually pretty nice but kept looking at our food and commenting which gets a little bit tedious, not the restaurants fault but wasn't exactly what we wanted.

Food wise;

Olives, nothing brilliant and had much better from the market, at 3£ for 6 olives too bit of a ripoff

Patatas; tasted like chips from the chippy smothered in garlic mayo, grim

Iberico omelette; no season no onions and raw in the middle (I know this is normal) and the ham was over dried.

Rabbit ribs ; crap and fatty, steep too at 10€

Iberico ham and mozzarella and truffle ; worst thing on the menu, it's a bloody toastie, didn't taste anything because it was all mozzarella

Meatballs ; all potato and was like a shit shepards pie

Russian salad ; no idea why i ordered it, but it's just a jacket potato with tuna.

Won't serve any seafood either.

Was recommended a place called cerveceria catalana which was just as bad

Off to 41 degrees and botafumerio tomorrow though.

Would recommend teleferic though, great food but terrible service. Food is worth it though, best tapas out of the lot.

Never had good patatas bravas anywhere in Barca, always like you describe, and olives are shit in 90% of restaurants, always dry and brined rather than marinated.

Its like going for a meal in the Aberdeen angus steak house, all tourist shite you wouldn't usually give to your dog.
