Fair enough but as a newer member this anti lurker link seems strange, makes the thread rather pointless, and would put me off posting links myself. If your going to state the item I'm sure it could be found easily enough anyway.
Stating the obvious but why allow unregistered members access then?

It's not my forum, so I don't know, but it's probably because everybody starts off as a lurker/noob. Nobody is saying you must join the GJ thing but if you want the full benefit of the forum then you probably should.
Silly example, but the pub we go to after football puts free food on after the games. There's always a few people that come down just for the free food even though they don't play football or support or anything, they just turn up down the pub cos they know there's free food on. And they probably think it's free so it doesn't matter, but everybody else just thinks they're a scab.
Lurkers are missing the point if they complain. When somebody posts a link to a bargain in here or a heads up on a sale, they're posting it for the benefit of their online mates, they're not posting for the sake of somebody that never posts
