Laughing out loud Burt

Am I becoming that old, out-of-touch guy, or was that era of basketball just so much more interesting than modern day?

I hated the Bulls, for the sole reason that they denied my OG team (Sonics) a championship.

On a side note, the Sonicsgate doc on YouTube is a great watch.

I do understand the nostalgia for that period but personally feel like the league is better now.

More stars spread around the league. Higher skill-level etc. The game is just more aesthetically pleasing IMO.

GSW fucked it up for a bit with their ridiculously stacked squad, but this year was looking like the most open title race for ages.

CSB but when this happened I was visiting a mate that was studying for a year at the University of Santa Cruz, watched this game in the rec room of his halls.

It was pretty crazy to watch but I don’t think I fully grasped how serious it was as it happened.

There is a great Grantland article on it, some of the quotes are priceless;
