Watergate is by far the best club i've ever been to. Sunrise there in summer\spring, dancing on the terrace is incredible. I've never been able to get into Berghain\Panorama though.
Weekend is good as well, but doesn't even get close to Watergate

I went in Autumn so no terrace action but I thought Watergate was really full of tourists who couldnt get in Berghain (like my mates for the most part) or people who were just clueless EDM types. Was good that it was still open at 10am or something when we left though.

Found them to be hanging around the museum island (general tourist spots) a lot when I was there. The lady and I kept getting harassed by one of their kids asking for money, probably no older than 12? I kept quiet while the missus spoke Mandarin to them in hope they'd give up and walk away. Didn't work as they just kept walking in front of us, poking us in the arms and flashing a sign in English saying "Money for food". Eventually she got bored and went to harass some old American couple; the old American lady gave her an unopened bottle of water, the kid swiped it from her, opened it, took one swig and then threw the bottle on the floor Laughing out loud

Later in the day we saw the kid with her mother and a few others go into a local supermarket for a quick "shopping spree".

They pretend they are deaf and try to get you to sign a form and donate minimum €5 as well. You can sometimes see them all in a group circle with their mother giving them a pep talk.

One spat at my feet when I told him to piss off in German. Understood that alright Smiling

I recommend moving there. Miss living in Berlin.

Berlin is cheap and oozing freedom. Just do whatever you want.

I enjoyed running in all the different parks, eating a lot of meals out because it's cheap and drinking club mate vodkas at house parties.

i recommend moving to berlin if you have a good job or go the university.
if you're a freelancer (despite the fact how good you are) or just have some savings to live on, you might have a fun year or two and that's it.
Especially when you move from abroad there's a big chance that you end up in some minimum wage job and some fucked up appartement.
i never lived in berlin myself, but i have lots of friends there and most of them are native germans with great education and some nice work experience and all of them ended up in a small appartement, sharing their flats, working in jobs they don't like just to do some party at the weekends.
There's a reason why berlin has the highest unemployment figure in germany and there's a reason why the lowest unemployment figure is in the south. (munich, stuttgart)
In the end it's more or less a thing of perspective and what you expect of your life.

Amen.

Can't hold a candle to Berghain. Less bum fondling though, lot's of homosexual fiends out there - be wary.
