Bonanza opened up a new roastery/cafe last month in xberg that is beautiful and has a huge open courtyard outside, hasn't ever been too busy the times I've been yet. Fenster coffee is fairly new I think and is on a nice spot jus behind schleisiches tor to sit outside and chill.

Madang do the best Korean / bibimbap in the city imo. It's a really traditional family owned place so a million miles away from the style of most of the places I visit, which I find nice. Usually need to book though for eek ends or evenings.

Pm me if you want more specific suggestions for restaurants etc. where abouts are you staying?

Fair enough. I only went to Prince Charles to see Flugel so that probably made me bias.

Had a pretty good time at Arena seeing Sprinkles and the Dystopian night too though.

Don't know the area at all, as as far as i know there's not really much reason to go there. Guess it's well enough located if you're working in Mitte and in East Moabit. I would stick with the general Kreuzberg/Fhain/Neukoelln/Pberg as well maybe though when you look for a place after that. Obviously everyone does that, but it's for good reason.

this! also always liked Chalet when I was in Berlin.
will be going from sunday to sunday too, to visit friends and celebrate my birthday.
Also a friend will join me from Brazil who has never been. Anything in particular we could be doing? just wanted to stroll a bit around. Cheapish Food recommendations are welcome too.

Tbh i'd also avoid chalet as it's mostly tourists. The outdoor bit is good for summer, but there's so many other better choices.

For cheap eats: marafina and Nil (boxhagenerstrasse one only) are good for cheap falafel, both are in fhain, there are other nils about though. Il ritrovo (fhain) and il casalare (xberg) are owned by the same ppl. Best pizza in berlin imo, plents of tables outside at the xberg one and is between €4.5-8 per pizza. Will be busy though. Wok show do plates of chinese dumplings of 20 for like €5 too.

Cheers man, we couldn't find a 2 bedroom in Pberg / Kberg after months of looking so it was really our only option, think once we get bikes it'll be chill getting around but it's a pity there's nothing really to do.

Going on a stag do next week and I'm assuming the main clubs will probably be impossible with 15 lads. Any suggestions for a decent club relatively easy to get into? I remember the chalet being good and got in a couple of times with a group of lads …

a ticketed event on RA is your best bet with that many lads otherwise there's always someone that won't get in.

Chalet could be tricky with that size of group mate. Depends on what night it is and how many girls are in the place. I really wouldn't go to suicide circus unless you're proper stuck. I haven't been in time, but Tresor seems to let most in and is actually a decent club.

Here for 3 months, would be cool to get some suggestions.
Mainly looking for good vintage, flea & consignment stores.
Some weird bars, just generally unusual and interesting bits if anyone has recommendations.

Favourite thing here so far is Thai Park on the weekends and Plotzensee when it's sunny.
