What's your best charity shop find ever? And where did you find it?

A friend of mine managed to bag a Vivienne Westwood skirt in a Brighton charity shop recently, for a tenner… Jawdropping!

I've never managed to buy anything decent in a charity shop. I once saw a Burberry leather trench coat for £30 but it was really tiny so I passed it up - that was in High Barnet. In retrospect I should have bought it to sell on ebay! Someone I know has a lovely Pucci top which she says came from a charity shop. She lives in Winchester. I think a lot of the shops are now quite clued up. I know my local one takes all the best stuff that is donated and sells it to professionals - there are often 2 or 3 rails covered up ready to go. There is one shop in Chiswick which is more like an upmarket vintage shop - they had a raccoon fur coat for £1000.

I've never handled to buy anything reasonable in a charitable organisation. I once saw a Burberry set trench cover for £30 but it was really small so I approved it up - that was in Great Barnet. In hindsight I should have purchased it to offer on ebay! Someone I know has a charming Pucci top which she says came from a charitable organisation. She lifestyles in Winchester. I think a lot of the stores are now quite clued up. I know my regional one requires all the best things that is contributed and offers it to experts - there are often 2 or 3 tracks protected up prepared to go. There is one store in Chiswick which is more like an upmarket classic store - they had a raccoon fur cover for £900.
