3 grand's worth of damage? doesn't look like it but as it's audi it probably is.
More info is needed on this story though. I just can't imagine an audi stealer picking up your car for a service, crashing it and then driving it back to you with crash damage.
I reckon nearly every dealer in the country would just fix it and not tell you about it.

They are putting it through the garage's insurance. So it will be repaired and I will get a loan car.
Both headlights are shot, needs a new bumper and bonnet plus 2 new wings and any other damage I can't see. As it was only in for a service that takes 3 hours I doubt they could have repaired it and not told me.. " I'm sorry sir your service is taking slightly longer than normal, we estimate about a week and a half. Is that ok?"
The cock who crashed it reckons an Albainian lorry driver backed into him and it could take months to go through the insurance.
At the end of the day it's a company car so I hope the frame is bent or twisted or something else is wrong and it's written off so I get a new one!

frame will be fine, i'd be fuming though.

demand a RS4 or TTRS as a cover car. tell them to shove their A3 diesel up their arse.
if both headlights are gone the estimate sounds about right, crazy dollar
