best: think i've finally nailed an interview. feedback was really positive so fingers crossed. local, good money and contract work so gives me flexibility.

worst: after six months of travelling, basically just drinking and sunbathing, working again will be shite.

You're gonna be the new bookmark. Work 6 months then fuck off on holiday again. That kind of thing pisses employers off so much.

Best(-ish): said cunt appears to have dropped a Community Payback Order next to the bikes, showing his name, date of birth and address. Police are coming around later.

Brilliant Laughing out loud

Just sold my car and some cunt's nicked my bike wheel! Laughing out loud

Turns out the address was a YMCA hostel on a dodgy estate. The Police are going to pay him a visit and find out what he was doing in our stairwell on the night bike parts were stolen.

They described it as a positive line of enquiry, but aren't hopeful that the parts will be found. Although they did say because my wheel was distinctive (yellow sidewall on the tyre) they might spot it while out and about.

Another neighbour's had his wheels nicked, and they tried to prise the V brakes off another neighbour's old shopper.

Found our seats and seatposts hidden in a pram downstairs, it seems like they couldn't carry everything with 4 wheels and were planning on coming back tonight.

Got to phone the insurance tomorrow and find out if it's covered Sad

might do it one more time, but look to get a working visa somewhere. worked my arse off since i was 17 to go travelling earlier this year (25 now), built up a solid work history to enable me to have the best chance possible to get a job when i came back. admittedly it has been pretty hard, but looks like it's paid off.

You looking for work in Belfast? There seems to be nothing going except in IT, been looking since I before I graduated and theres barely anything even worth applying for.

worst: left a package with £200 of Yoox returns behind on the tube (propped it on the window ledge behind my seat and got distracted as i got up to get off). remembered it as i was walking down the platform, just as the doors closed….

best: a mate works as a controller on the Jubilee line, he got on the case and half an hour later called me to tell me that the station staff a few stops down the line had got it.

Cool

I left my record bag on the tube after playing at some rave, managed to get it back from the lost property, so lucky.

Andy have you got a recent picture of the bike with the stolen parts?

As daft as it sounds if the coppers haven't already asked for one give them the picture and ask them to circulate it by e-mail or briefing to everyone who covers Edinburgh/your area. Best way to get cops looking out for it.

Yeah, I printed off a picture last night and he asked for it (no homo), said he would circulate it around the beat cops as the tyre's quite distinctive.

Best: been invited to a party at the director of communication's house tonight.

Worst: she said she's only inviting me so she can continue taking the piss out of my shirt. Laughing out loud Cry (pink Folk polkadot number)
