Best: Me mums got the 2 daughters for 3 days, 12 of us off to Liverpool in a bit all day and night on the lash. Cup final 2moz.
Worst: Red Wings I bought to wear out, and a bargain, were fuckin tiny and had to go back (1st world problems)

that's got to be a load of bollocks re: contact lenses.
I've got a mate who's pro who wears contacts.
I've fought muay thai, mma and BJJ and always worn contacts
25 Feb 2012 13:14
and there's nothing worse than not being able to fight for some reason outside your control. You have my sympathies
25 Feb 2012 13:17
Amateur boxing doesn't allow contacts, pro allows soft contacts.
Hopefully you can convince whoever gives you your eye test that you're fine to do it.
25 Feb 2012 13:21
what a fucking shite rule.
25 Feb 2012 13:33
Why's that rule in place? Is it something to do with being knocked out and contacts could damage your eyes or something?
25 Feb 2012 15:51
How could you ever make it pro if you were basically fighting blind as an amateur due to that rule?
25 Feb 2012 16:05
Perhaps it goes back to when contacts were glass?
25 Feb 2012 16:31
didn't get a fight, all of the lads who were drawn to fight made weight. managed to hold on to my license, at least i know for next time to keep it quiet i wear contacts.
the most bullshit thing is that I could probably fight okay without them, but even if I wanted to they still wouldn't let me fight.

Have had 5 separate doctors over the last month give me the 'ooo err it might be cancer' chat about a large swollen lymph node that popped up in my neck. This is despite me repeatedly saying I had an ear infection on that side, and not having any other cancer symptoms, but instead having a load of symptoms consistent with an ear infection. 3 of them were thick as shit NHS gps, so I guess you get what you pay for with these people, but one was a consultant opthalmologist and the other was a fucking ear nose throat surgeon.
Lo and behold my routine scan shows nothing abnormal, but I'd been properly stressed in the interim.

Just had a family member diagnosed with cancer relating to the lymph nodes. Pretty nasty stuff. Good job you got the all clear man.
Best: Weather's been spot on here today. Birds out in force wearing next to nothing. Would never think I was wrapped up in scarf hat and coat just last week. In a great mood now.
Worst: Spent most of the day stuck in doors in uni on a Saturday.
25 Feb 2012 19:20
Worst - dumped my bird via text yesterday while she was away Down in the big smoke , had a kanye moment and just sent it like a prick , feel like a right dickhead now . Best- out tonight so gonba try and drown my sorrows and "move on " .
25 Feb 2012 20:20
True shout , getting bossed daily by the birds in my group for doing it by text aswell.
25 Feb 2012 21:57
Worst: House building escapade is a complete disaster, it couldn't have gone worse so far and I am a man on the edge.
25 Feb 2012 22:03
worst: got set a huge piece of work in for next friday when i have loads of other shit in.. none of which i have done
even worse: got a piece of work back i actually thought i did alright on - 50%
cherry on the fuck cake: realised i left a tenner in the self service….
all my rage
25 Feb 2012 23:07
best: bought some glasses
best 2: finger isn't broken, healing quickly and should be back at training soon.
worst: forgotten how expensive glasses are
worst 2: some mental lass nearly bit my cock off, putting somewhat of a dampner on a promising evening.
