The clenched fist logo first appeared in the Black Power movement in the US. Looks quite different to Wig Cas, not that that is a bad thing.

The font/spacing is taken directly from a BLM pdf.

It is funny, I find burny in general hilarious especially when he writes polite passive/aggressive comments. This one relates to my original post years ago where I questioned his own typography skills in relation to something he was doing for a watch brand.
BLM no doubt aren’t bothered about kerning of a font! I understand the frustration and will happily download their current font cornerstone and correct the kerning for the logo I’ve designed. It bothers me too!

saw a video earlier of a black manager of footlocker or somewhere similar, who was filming as four police officers were asking him to prove who he was because when he entered the store he set off the store burglar alarm. he was filming them because he felt victimised and that they were targeting him because he's black…
…now. while i agree that black people are probably more targeted than whites (not getting into that now), i think these officers were actually well within their rights. he was stubornly refusing to prove he was the manager, wouldn't even show the photo on his lanyard.
at the risk of sounding non-PC, i think he's in the wrong there. if you set the alarms off and the police come, the least you can do is just show them that youre the manager and it was an accident. think it's all a bit 'ITS COS IM BLACK!!!'. no. it's not. it's cos you were in a store with the alarm going off and wouldnt prove who you were.
