Depends what type of music you're looking for?
Mr Wolfs is pretty cool for live music, its a small little bar.

…that packs in about a thousand people, who then throw beer over you and stand all over you. Avoid.

When are you going to Bristol anyway? Week/weekend?

Yeah, they do pack in more people than they should, but its got a cool vibe.

The Old Duke which is a pub thats pretty close to Mr Wolfs, they have a live Jazz band most days, but again, they pack in loads of people.

What music you after?

Bar at Hotel Du Vin is cool for chilled out drinks, especially if you like your spirits.

Shops - there's one or two on Park Street that do 'urban wear'
Bars - The Avon Gorge in Clifton has a very nice view if its a nice day - good food too.
Mbargo's is ok, they have live music on a Sunday night and its usually pretty busy - but still dancing space.
Avoid the centre of town and waterfront like the plague on a Saturday as the Bristolian locals aren't the nicest of people!

it was alright, ate on a canal boat, went to a few pubs (mothers ruin and old duke I think. loads of people out the front of it? ) amazed by the amount of hen do's going on and the pure amount of townies down by the waterfront awful pub bit. some amazing bodied girls though.

did one the following day to Bath which was much nicer imo. no hatin!

I'm heading to Bristol today and I haven't been in years, any decent shops to check out or is it the usual doom and gloom of the English High St?

Nothing that I think will interest you TBH - Harvey Nicks has a shit selection of brands, Kooples at the top of Park St might be worth a look in but I think you are living in London so guess you could stop in there whenever. Literally no other stores worth checking that I can think of. Shame as Bristol would be so much better if it had some decent shops.

There is very little of any note really, Cooshti on Park St is ok at best and theres a reasonably cool shop just off there called Seven.

Alledgely there is a store in Clifton called Boulevard (I think) that stocks APC and the like.

Allegedly stocks APC? What because it's such a trek up to Clifton Laughing out loud

I'm just down for a few days to see family and the rents fancied a trip up, so thought I'd enquire…Cheers guys.
