We have had an apartment before near the canal etc. Works out cheap but someone has to put down a c/c deposit.

off to see a band friday night, so probably just check out some bars after. then on the saturday we'll be looking for more of a messy one, so bars before ending up in a club somewhere - pref. not some shithole like oceana or equivalent though? Smiling

edit: we're all into our indie music, so a club that plays that sort of stuff would be cool

Yeah still on a sat. Went to Pop Confessional last week. Pretty good. Worth a shout if you want to avoid Oceana type places. Get there before 12 though or pay rape prices on the door (maybe I'm just a tight fuker Laughing out loud ).

donuts, seven, 5050. there arent many proper high end places to go shopping tbh. otherwise head to clifton, look at the bridge and then go for a half pint of exhibition cider at the cori tap

Great city, shit shopping. M-Shed worth a mince around if you are interested in the history of Bristol (free too). Arnolfini exhibitions are closed for installation until Feb, otherwise that could be decent. You could go see the Banksy pieces at Stokes Croft (Mild, Mild West) and bottom of Park St. Pepe Nero near James Barton Roundabout is great for cheap, authentic Italian - pasta/calzones/pizza by the slice etc.

That Boulevard shop in Clfton exists Laughing out loud owner was sound and shop was cool.

From memory it stocked; APC, Our Legacy, Norse, Howlin, Universal Works, Trickers, Folk

Owner said he was eager to go higher end in 2013 and is looking to bring in Dries and CDG (amongst others).

Another example of why this city is so great… someone broke one of the 80 Gromits around town, so instead of leaving the concrete plinth empty, we made a get well card. Shocked

George Ferguson, our Mayor has said when they find out who broke the Gromit they're going to put them in the stocks and throw water canons at them Laughing out loud
