Zazu's is no good. Food isn't bad, nothing special though and well over priced.

Grillstock on triangle for serious meat intake. +1 for Bells Diner.

Nah - had family over from Oz, so didn't make it. Saw the ambulance and thought there might have been a repeat of the incident a few years ago!

Thankfully I was away. Think they were from the only social housing in the area at the time.

Any decent shops around? Went to the cabbots and that was rubbish apart from BoConcept.
Heading to Park Street in a bit but anything else?
Also, has anybody eaten in that Grillstock place by Waitrose, trying to be a hype bbq place.

Not in that place, but they also have one in St Nicks market, close to where you're staying and its alright. Not amazing, but OK. There's a pub called The Tuns down the hill from where you are that has a group of chefs called Meatandbreed which does really good smoked sandwiches and stuff. Here's the site, better than Grillstock imo http://meatandbread.co.uk

No good shops really San, there's a Harvey Nicks in Cabotts and up in Clifton is a shop called Boulevard that sells Our Legacy, Comme Des Garcons and stuff. No website but its on The Mall in Clifton. Easy to find. Thats about it mate, not much shopping really.

Where did you eat last night?

^ on Park Street you have Fifty Fifty (pretty shit if your not into SB etc), Cooshti which is alright, an american vintage place which can sometimes be alright and Seven which is fairly decent.

If you fancy heading a bit further up there is a decent shop in Clifton called Boulevard, stocks APC, Our Legacy, Universal Works etc.

Shopping in Bristol is awful, about the only thing that lets it down.

EDIT: oh and Donuts on Park Row, but again that is pretty shit (just hype streetwear).

Dig Haushizzle is not far from Donuts and occasionally gets some nice furniture/interior bits. £2 book store on Park St sometimes gets some good stuff in and Rise on the Clifton Triangle also has a decent selection of fashion/film/design coffee table books at decent prices upstairs.

As mentioned, the best clothes store in Bristol is Boulevard.

Edit: been to Grillstock on the Triangle (near Waitrose), was decent.

Ended up eating at San Carlo on Corn Street, was nice as expected. 2 starters, 2 mains and a bottle of wine came to £97 which was decent.
Was drinking on the quayside at za za bar, was packed around 6 onwards but didn't realise till later on that a small footy match was on Laughing out loud
Will probably have some lunch at The Stable where I am now then eating at Meluha tonight.
As I'm here for 3 days each month till Feb I will check the other areas out like Clifton.
Way too relaxed, nice women but too many swampy lookalikes for me

man that whole area by the quayside sucks so much. just shit bars and chavs everywhere. walk up park st and go to the woods if youre into whiskey/imported beers. if not go to hyde and co, really good cocktails and really hidden, your bird should love it (any chick ive taken there has loved it Cool )

edit: milk thistle is probably closer to you if youre at the radisson. run by the same dudes as hyde and co but is a bit bigger

The shopping is really crap though, surprised at that seeing as there is a bit of money around
