i'd go with Paris, means more in the long term and is good for both of you.

Been looking at going to Paris in summer with mine but i can't say i've found anything on those prices? Where are you staying and who are you flying with to get it that low.

Best i've found is the Eurostar from St Pancras at £100 return then hotel for a few days, maybe long weekend is going to be a bit in Paris. Anyone recommend any hotels in the center at reasonable prices?

dont do the paris as a christmas pressie. its a nice trip and that but your getting the same out of it as her mate, so its a bit selfish imo.
get her the bag now so she can show people you got style as well as being generous and then do the paris for an aniversary or something when you are a bit flusher.

Try adding taxes to the flights i expect they'll end up £150 - £200.

Deffo get her the bag. And then fill it with other individually wrapped cheapo (thoughtful) gifts.

Got the wife some god-awful Radley shoulder bag she wanted, an Amber necklace, some heels from Dune, a DS lite game and some Pudding Lingerie. Total spend nearly £500 i think which in my opinion is about right. Used to spend between 2 - £300 in our early years i think.

Just been texting my brother on the feasibility of getting that to the UAE. Also noticed a few more players to the market here.
