Something has gone on in Dalston - The Nest, Alibi and Visions all closed down. RIP Dalston.

Na that's just for new venues, the Alibi was still open until 3am on a Tuesday if anyone actually wanted to go. They just didn't make the money.
Efes has turned into some shithole venue they do giant vintage sales in too.

anything good around spitalfields?

Depends on the vibe you want, the 'Spitalfields bar' in the market has 2 or 3 decent taps on, usually quite quiet though. You can take beer into the market to have with food. Williams Ale & Cider House is probably the best nearby, Culpeper is always busy and nice atmosphere, bit towards Aldgate. Pride of Spitalfields towards Bricklane is actually an old boozer still, drinks not great though but good character.

Around Spitalfields I'd go for The Golden Heart - bit pricey but feels like the closest you can get to a pub in that vicinity. If I'm willing to trek a little further north I often end up in Well and Bucket, a bit bougie but good beer and nice place.

Good beer at Well & Bucket, the Kings Arms a bit further up is a lovely place for a quiet one.

Discount Suit Company for a quick cocktail.
Water Poet if you're after a beer garden.
The Bell is another old boozer going towards Aldgate.
There's a Brewdog on the top of Brick Lane if that's your thing.

Really liking this 'Yes' bar on Charles Street in Manchester. Has 4 floors of multi use event space, but the selling point for me is the £1.35 pizza slices between 12 and 7pm, which you order next to the bar. Bit stoodent hipsterville but a refreshing change on that street.

Any decent boozers around Euston?
