Anywhere decent in London - preferably central/south bank - to hire a room for a party? Trendy or not, everything considered as long as its good. Cheers.

Alchemist on New York St (Manchester) is cool. A lot better that its sister in Spinningfields. My ultimate new date place now. Shame I was by myself this time around Sad

There’s been a lot of new openings recently, but none as yet take my fancy. Initially Gorilla was good but on the second visit, seems the staff are there just to high five each other and prioritise service for friends and colleagues of the other chains lending to a bit of a dickhead vibe. Can’t wait though for the two new bowling bars to open to open up and offer something different that Manchester has previously lacked.

anyone tried Crate brewery in Hackney Wick? used to avoid Hackney Wick at all costs, but a mate reckons this place is worth a look.

Went to Tusk next to Walrus YLAup, cocktails are awesome but its a very weird layout and just too small. £8 a drink as well. Was hoping Gorilla would be good not been there yet, small gin place few doors down as well now isnt there?

would this be new to the UK?
http://exchangebarandgrill.com/about-us/

Exchange is New York’s first and only fully automated real time drink market, where the prices for your favorite drinks fluctuate depending on supply and demand! Watch a while when no one is ordering your favorite drink snag it when the cost falls to unbelievable lows—or use your leverage to jack up the price of any cocktail, drink, or shot for the whole bar. Or wait. . . and with a little insider information. . . catch the Market Crash when every drink in the bar hits rock bottom (all beers for $2, all drinks $3, and even top shelf for $4)

Remember something like that when I was a student. Long time ago now. Also, I don't think our laws would allow that sort of thing. They're looking at bringing in new pound per unit pricing laws, sure I read that somewhere.

Yeah we had that in the union at Dundee at the end of each term, pretty sure they used to it to get rid of random stuff they had behind the bar.

Was always good fun, mass stampedes to the bar for Dubonnet and lemonade Laughing out loud

Went to one in Berlin that was like that, they had a 'market crash' every hour or so where it went really cheap.

Any decent pubs/bars down by Selfridges/central way which won't be overly busy/rape prices? Never drink down that way.
