I would say working class or below only seem to go "out to eat" at any kind of restaurant on celebrations like a birthday or something rather rather for no reason other than its a friday or whatever.

I should know I never went to a restaurant unless it was a family birthday, and I was born extremely working class Sad

Very true HW. Previously thought I was middle class but then I went to Uni! We only eat out in restaurants for birthdays and it always seems to be Nandos Laughing out loud

im questioning nickballs positon. need to find out more before he slips into there for me. (upper middle)
how many bedroom house, what family car, rents job, fee paying school?

far too many people think they are middle when they are nowhere fucking near it, as ploughboy has just pointed out himself.

I've gotta agree Bresone in terms of everyone loves it but I think the class nature is whether like HW said you go there cos its a Friday or you are celebrating an occasion.

I put him straight into upper middle because he said probably middle then said pushing upper middle as soon as he was challenged. Plus I've seen his face - definitely upper middle. Laughing out loud

mum and or dad work as a judge, partner (lawyer / banking / financial services) surgeon / consultant (GP dont cut it), CEO or MD of a 10 million+ turnover company or personally owned business etc.

will add in high level military or millitary family tradition (eg captain + )

car 1 or 2 = 80k+ value with cash no credit, 600k to 1 million house value depending on area. possible second house / small boat / holiday villa.

hahaha as if my dad's a fucking judge! Laughing out loud you're miles off HW.
im cool with upper middle but i think as a family we're pretty typical middle class, dad earns a decent wage so mum doesnt have to work, one people carrier one small car, modest 3 bed house. but here's something just to make you Laughing out loud , we do have a place in france Eye-wink

If your saying if you fall in to that bracket you are upper middle, probably best to rule out personaLy owned business which turns over over 10 mill. Plenty of people run their own business turning over that who are most working of the working.

You can deffo be upper middle if a GP and the car value is v. v. high.

But if you're just a GP, your car isn't going to be very very high in value because you're just a GP.

Poor grammar on my part, I meant that the car value for anyone needn't be anything like that to be upper middle, 80k is bloody high.

GPs generally earn more than hospital consultants unless they're doing lots or private work.

Really? The GP I see, senior partner in the surgery drives a banger and looks like an aged hippy. The cardiologists I see on the otHer look like there rolling.
