You put it so much better than i could. Thank you.

I have no idea about society and social interactions anyway dunno why people think what I write is facts, I can only relate things to myself because thats the way my brain is wired unfortunately.

I only read this place to get a glimpse into other peoples real lives without the hassle of actual going out and about. Sad

I worked as a bin man one summer (CSB) and that was the roughest job I've had to do, I think that is what most people think of as working class. But my mum is a classroom assistant and my dad works doing something with diggers and these kind of jobs and also hourly wage stuff like call centers and fast food McJobs are the new working class. I think only 10% of the population earn over 40k a year, so that automatically puts you in middle class territory.

My proper shit sarcasm wasn't clocked Oops

As above have said generalising far too hard there. Just because you have less money than the man coming into mcdonalds with his business partners looking down on you and feeling sorry for you doesn't mean your going to go home and sit and think about all the things your missing in your life for ages. It is how it is and you just accept the fact that the next man is richer than you for whatever reason and you get on with your life. Im just talking from my experience not saying how it is for everyone though.

Jordan, you ain't serious? Think most working class either have a laugh and a joke about being working class or they make really crass attempts at being middle-class, must have noticed this no? It's like acceptance, denial and standing on an audacious pedestal all at once.

Oh, and pretty much the middle class only mock and pity the lower classes. Or attempt to almost reify the 'idea' into something they understand and want it to be. As they don't really get it.

This, +1 and cosigned.
Don't get how anyone who's working class would think it's cool to be working class, it isn't it's proper graft. Either your the exception or you ain't working class. Obviously some people are proud of what class they come from (I am and so are all my family) but I'd fucking love it even more and so would my family if theyd had the oppurtunity to be a nice middle class family doing non physical work earning regular money in a 9-5 when I was growing up. Think most people in the working class bit would agree with me aswell?
cba to backtrack, but i was taking the piss about working class being cool - was just a sarcastic reply to eent Laughing out loud
