30 is no age ! always imagined I'd be pretty much exclusively wearing APC and Margaret Howell by the time I was 35 but still feels a bit too grown up for me Oops

Pointless thread x.
There is absolutely nothing age related that you cant wear after 30. Its only 40 when you have to check yourself before you wreck yourself.
Its something that is crossing my mind more and more lately for two years time, a mass clear out will ensue,

Surely it's all about how you put your looks together. At 43 I don't see many things I like that I can't get away with wearing. Then again, I do shop mainly at end, which is pretty conservative I guess.

I changed it to 40. I'll come back in just under a decade.

Fuck me, a thread on FUK where I can give fully qualified input.

Converse don't belong in here although I could be convinced with hi-tops.

Huaraches get in I reckon as do Nike Blazer's (see a lot of 40+ wearing the latter).

Caps do but I reckon an over 40 year old get away with a cap in the Winter when it's fucking freezing. I would never EVER wear one in the Summer though. I've got Norse Projects and Ebbets cap's that are both well well worn in and ain't flat peaked that I use in the Winter on a seldom basis.

As an aside, rockin' fuck off big cans attached to an iPhone/Mp3 player should get in too.

Agree with that. That's the only thing I used to wear that I don't anymore. Getting close to 40 here.

I had a crisis at 29 and rushed to try to grow up then after 30 realised you don't change who you are just coz you turn 30. You still want to wear the same stuff. And I'm still as skinny as ever, have 90% of the hair I used to and people always think I'm way younger IRL.

So print tees –> plain/pocket tees

Also favoring boots more than sneakers these days but still like a clean pair of sneakers.

Sayword, I don't know if you can totally transition to Yohji full time, your gear has become a part of who you are, I can feel it. Your the same as me and many here.
