They’ve never hit the sales on Mr Porter mate. The ones they have on the site are the first batch that came out, proper OG pairs so that deal on ebay is sound

usually I buy CPs and sell them after wearing them less than 5 times for various reasons….trying to keep and wearing my latest pair but they squeak crazily, so much I don't wear them at work because they make everyone turn their head when i walk around…

This might have been asked several times, but any suggestion? What am I doing wrong?

My bballs squeak mate, just have to deal with it.
Have worn them on and off for two years now.

I did email CP but they ignored me Laughing out loud

I did do what someone else on here recommended, and put talcom powder where the tongue touches the rest of the shoe and that worked for a bit. Just can’t be arsed to constantly talc a pair of £280 trainers, shouldn’t have to.

That said, got some grained leather and suede Achilles which don’t have that problem. Only on the bballs it seems. Must be the smooth leather which has the issue.

Thanks, not happy hear that, but will get over it.

Deffo not going to put talco every now and then…

Same, I think CP makes good looking but terrible shoes. Have had 7 different models/materials and they're all bad fitting or uncomfy.

GATs look way better imo, also if you have big feet I think white Achilles look a bit clownish

have to say I agree on the fit.. I bought some doc martens recently and loads of my mates were like "ooo they are going to kill your feet!" . clearly never broken in a pair of leather CPs… doc martens were a walk in the park compared

saying that, after time the CPs do become very comfy

My experience with CPs is that they give me chronic hard skin on the back of my heel.

Cool manCool

Just to add on the bball discussion and why I keep going on about the OG’s being the best.

These are the 2128 version which are the new style which have full smooth leather throughout the shoe

These are the 1842 original version, which have the textured leather on the middle panels.

Most people won’t give a shit but just thought I’d point the difference out in codes.

2128 version are available on Kafka for £258 with the discount code.

Have to say the 1842 are a touch nicer due to the grained side panels and toe box, both comfy out the box too sizing spot on. achilles 43 bball 42.
