bill, could be something like this, might be worth running anti-malware on your mum's PC as it'll pick up any dodgy stuff that won't show as installed or in program files.

I've got a few spare 2.5" hard drives and I want to set them up on my wireless network as both a) time machine backup and b) music and video library.

What's the cheapest way to do this? I've got a usb hdd enclosure, will be usb to ethernet adapter be too slow?

Anything they sell at PC World, her requirements are pretty basic so even the cheapest laptop will do the job.

Acer's are relatively cheap and decent enough, Dell usually have a few deals on this time of year too.

HP's are a mixed bag, high spec but very unreliable

I've got hyperlinks suddenly appearing on random words on the forum…

…running Firefox with Adblock plus enabled.

Be grateful if any fuk'er can come up with any ideas about how to get rid of 'em or why it's happening?

edit - Fixed

If my work email account is IMAP, am I able to 'add' this to my normal gmail account as an additional account/inbox? Or does Google only support POP3/fetch?
