The housing situation is crazy, it's like a jungle out here. Been here two weeks now and sent out so many messages but barely a sniff. Managed to hook up an 'interview' at last, out of 120 applicants for a room in Norrebro. On my last legs now though, enrolled at the university late and I'm behind as it is (my campus is amazing) and it's been difficult to get up to speed when I've been so preoccupied with finding a permanent place to stay.

Do love it out here though, it's a wonderful city with a great atmosphere. Not really had a proper chance to do and see much yet as I'm trying not to get carried away with a tourist's mind-set, just looking to settle. Met a lot of cool heads, feel like I can talk about almost anything out here and everyone has something to contribute. I guess that's a result of a strong education system. Also, really not as expensive as I thought.. Can't grumble at a bluey for 20 Camel's and a Daim bar for example.

Just hope I manage to sort somewhere to live by the end of the next week otherwise I may have to defer the academic year and return to shitty Brum. If anyone is here and fancies a beer then let me know Cool

CPH people, where to stay? Airbnb in Norrebro vs. Stay Hotel, Islands Brugge? Pretty much the same price

I would choose Stay. Nicer than apartments in Nørrebro. Granted I don't know which apartment you are looking at but odds are Stay is nicer.

Don't tip. They don't tip in Denmark, for anything.

As a result service is awful, you have to beg someone to wait your table or seat you.

Are there any stores worth visiting besides Norse and Acne? Any others stocking OL for example? Going there on the 9th of January and hoping to do some shopping.

Wood wood store is close to the Norse shop, Norse store is disappointingly small imo. The shopping area is pretty compact and easy to get around so you'll find a few places easily

Storm Fashion is one street down from Woodwood and has a good selection. There is also Illum on the main shopping street which is now pretty premium. Still mostly for women though.

I thought the same about Norse. Le Fix is good for SNS etc. Maritime Antiques is near Nyhavn and has SNS and Mister Freedom type clothes if that's your bag.
