My Mrs got it first; she is a teacher but could not have picked it up from school as finished in December. So, no idea where we picked it up but I totally underestimated the illness. I thought it would last a few days and that would be it.
Curiously, the Mrs fared a lot better- she lost her taste etc but just had cold symptoms and our daughter never caught it.
I must admit that I have not been the best at Social distancing etc but not been out for ages as the pubs in Manchester are shut

Got a positive result on Boxing day and came out of isolation just under a week ago. Misses is a ward sister on the 'rona wards so it was only a matter of time, despite all the safety and PPE.
Had the cough and tight chest which had me worried as I have pretty bad asthma, but it didn't amount to much. Worst was that my smell and taste vanished and still hasn't come back.
Rapid lateral flow tests were negative throughout and still are for both of us, but PCR tests came back positive. Total waste of time, those quick tests IMO

Yep. Has a strange taste in her mouth constantly, she describes it as sort of when you eat garlic and you know that taste is there, but it doesn’t taste of garlic just strange taste. Food tastes different to her now. She’s gone off nearly every perfume as they all smell different to her now. Feel well sorry for her cos I’d be gutted.

Had symptoms present on 18th Dec, was dozy as fuck and just knackered to start with.
Was in bed for 2 days with fever and muscle aches, cough was pretty minor tbh. The aches were the newest/strangest experience for me, probably only stopped a week ago.
Going for a run tomorrow which will be first since recovery, will keep it pretty light.

I was definitely worse than my missus. She only got a test done because I was, she didn’t have symptoms when we went. She ended up only getting a slight cough and some tiredness, but she’s pregnant so could have been nothing to do with the COVID.
Didn’t get my kids tested, neither of them have displayed any symptoms although likelihood is they probably have had it too.

I've not long come out the other side so not sure. I'm no athlete but try to get at least 4 runs in each week, minimum of 5k.
Not been able to get past 3k without having to catch a breather and then usually end up walking last stretch home.
Few mates had it in Lockdown 1 and said it took them a couple of months to get back to normal so I'm hoping sooner rather than later

Your running routine sounds similar to mine, although had upped distance to 7.5k in December to help bring down my 5k pb.
Reckon I’m gonna give it another week before going out again. Proper sucks as I was planning to get on it in Jan with my running, fingers crossed it doesn’t take too long to get back to normal.

Had it late October, almost certainly caught it from playing Football then back to the pub after every match.
Was feverish for two or three days then just feeling rough for maybe four or five days - constant cough, slight trouble breathing, snotty nose etc. but got off lightly judging by what I've read above.
Mrs caught it from me but other than generally feeling tired / rough was ok.

Pretty sure I had it last March. Had fever, aches, incredibly sore throat followed by fatigue and chest tightness/shortness of breath. No testing at that point so struggled through it. 10 months on my lung capacity still hasn’t returned to normal and my oesophagus isn’t right at all. Constantly wheezy. Finally had a chest X-ray at the weekend so we’ll see what that throws up.
