after 2,5 years I finally got covid after a trip to Milan last week, think I must have picked it up at the airport going over unless it came really quickly.

like swede I have just had a bad cold for a few days, little bit achy etc. but my sense of taste is totally fucked now which is really annoying

all cooked food smells sort of gross and not like it should do, my morning coffee tastes flavourless like water. really hope it goes soon! did a test this morning and it was a very faint positive line after 5 mins whereas a few days ago it was an instant thick line so hopefully moving in the right direction

loads of people where I work have tested positive again recently, actually way more than when it was bad the first time around

even though it's been annoying, covid hasn't been anywhere near as bad as the illness I had earlier this year (which was probably the flu as kept testing neg?) I couldn't move for a week and felt super lethargic, skin was prickly to the touch and muscles were really painful

anyone else caught it recently?

I was at a big convention at mico and imagine it's going to be an absolute covid fuck fest in a few days with all of these other events happening

You mean after 4-5 days of drinking and cocaine outdoors in cold-ish weather, people ain’t feeling too well?

Funny you say that, two separate friends came back with it.

I’m really not. How do you know it’s ‘covid’ and not a cold? And what do you do now you ‘have’ it? Stay home? Don’t hug anyone? Wear a mask? How many jabs have you had?

You know the PCR test doesn’t detect ‘covid’ right? Neither does the antigen one.

I’ve had zero jabs, been unwell twice in the past 2 years, slight tiredness, headaches etc… and I was fine after a few days.

When does your life go back to normal? When you had the sniffles in the past, you just rest and get better.

You just don’t want to admit you’ve been fooled.

‘Yet’ so you will keep testing until it’s positive?

Is it possible that you just have a cold?

If you feel ill with a cold, have a test. If you have covid stay at home. It's not hard.

I had a positive test a week ago. Felt like shit for a day and since then just been headaches and body aches. The taste thing is getting annoying now.

Everyone I know that went to Glastonbury is now positive. Even people who were either working or playing with access to better toilets have it. It’s no wonder so many are getting it considering the toilet situation Laughing out loud

has anyone in here who has recently had the current variant of covid lost or had a marked change to their sense of taste/smell and had it come back at a later date? how long did it take?

i’m on day 7 since i first had symptoms, tested negative this morning (although i still have a little bit of a blocked nose).

I can pick up flavours in things but it’s really dull compared to before. Strangely, hot food and brewed coffee smells like burning or a burnt fat smell like you get at a BBQ.

can’t even enjoy my daily pour over coffee any more as it smells disgusting and tastes of nothing, making me sad

How is life not back to normal?

I was just joking mate. i just booked my 4th dose for next week, i just hope i wont catch the rona twice after, like I did after my 3rd dose. not that i was sick really, just a running nose (similar symptoms to when I caught it before my 1st jab), but i hate sticking these PCR into my brain. and the funniest is that i double mask even when jogging outside since January, but that virus is something else ! where i live everybody keeps masking despite being 35degrees outside, but if you ask me, it is necessary (i am glad they keep it mandatory at schools for kids even during practicing sport becaude it can definitely reduce the spread from what I read - even though the cases going up despite all these measures is mind boggling sometimes). so my only complaint is really to keep testing everytime when i need to travel or attend an indoor or outdoor event, despite having all my boosters up to date. I am fine to be jabbed 2 or 3 times a year ad vitam eternam, but please just stop testing! and who knows, without testing, the pandemic may just resolve naturally aferwards? Sticking out tongue
anyway, i am off to the pool now, i hope someone design proper waterproof masks, because my FFP2 are not really nice for breathing when wet. or developing a vaccine for water maybe? either way would be great to feel 100% safe! wish you guys a happy normal and sunny weekend Cool
