Possibly, I've ordered from them and they marked down but if I remember rightly customs won't accept it if it's coming from a business

Can anyone with experience of USPS tell me whether this as akin to "your item is in customs, we are waiting for clearance and to fuck you with a massive bill" or has it got through? I thought on these tracker things it usually mentions customs somewhere. Been stuck on that since friday.

Try putting the tracking number into Parcel Force or Royal Mail.

Actually they haven't. It can be spelled either way.

There is no difference between dispatch and despatch. The latter is an alternative spelling that was common in the 19th century and earlier, but dispatch has gained undisputed dominance in modern English. Despatch has mostly disappeared from the language—except in the U.K., where it appears in place of dispatch about a third of the time—and dispatch is the preferred spelling for all senses of the word.

Anyone know if you pay import duty in the UK when receiving something from Switzerland? Gf wants to order some trainers from Titolo. Cheers.

It's possible that they either don't know the correct value or have suspicion on value. Went through this recently, they asked for Paypal account, receipt/online link and copy of any emails to verify. Value was marked on the parcel too and it took about a month to sort.

I think it's just random, I had another parcel come through at the same time without any hassle and have done since. I offered them screen grabs and was lucky to have a low value eBay link, the seller wanted the bulk of the money separate from eBay.

seems like they're getting very strict. had 2 items the other week from america, both got stopped by customs, then released, and then 'customs charges revised'.

needless to say i got bent over and rammed up the 'arris.

Customs are putting more focus on imports and VAT fraud - see http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/3ad3d04e-a7d0-11e5-9700-2b669a5aeb83.html#axzz43Wy7C9wX

So may well not be random.
